GWC Studios boasts an in-house production studio, which means we are able to provide our clients with creative options that are out-of-the-box and forward-thinking while remaining relevant to our target audience.

For Florida Blue Under 65 DRTV, we presented both a live action spot as well as an animated spot. We utilized focus groups to measure the performance of each spot and gathered data integral to the success of our campaign.

BCBS South Carolina

We presented our client with five print concepts and they selected “A New Chapter” and “Power of Blue.” A convergence of product benefits and brand promise was created as a way of re-introducing the brand in the MAPD market after being out of it for three years. Now consumers know if you need MAPD, you need Blue Cross Blue Shield of South Carolina.

Compass Consulting Group

After reviewing the client’s existing materials, we made recommendations on their literature’s organization, language and design. We created a modular collection of presentation materials that can stand alone or work together in different combinations to introduce and explain their business to potential clients.

Flordia Blue Retail

Carrying the brand to retail centers, sporting events, community gatherings, seminars and other venues.

To showcase Florida Blue’s distinctive retail centers, we designed and produced a variety of decorative, informative pieces that can stand alone and work well together. From banners to brochures our creations reflect the Florida Blue brand and contribute to the inviting atmosphere of the centers.

GuideWell Emergency Doctors

Educating consumers about reasons to avoid the ER

Our client asked us to create awareness in the Orlando area that, while the emergency room is there for life-threatening situations, many injuries and ailments can be treated more quickly and less expensively at their facilities. Because prospective customers wouldn’t respond to messaging immediately, we needed to provide materials for them to keep until they needed medical attention.

Creating and launching a brand for a new venture

When GuideWell started a new insurance business, of course they came to us for creative expertise. It gave us the opportunity to build a new brand from the ground up. Working with stakeholders, we put together a look and feel that would attract potential customers and stand out in the market.

Florida Blue Medicare

In 2016, we launched the Blue Means More concept for the 2017 AEP campaign, creating an ownable look and tone, raising brand awareness and differentiating Florida Blue from the competition.

Based on the concept’s success, a SWOT analysis and our own market research, we evolved the concept for 2018 to BlueMedicare Means More... The new concept evolved the previous concept to answer the question, “more what?” with words such as “value,” “possibilities,” “stability,” etc. Leveraging the brand promise, we used different executions of the concept in a phased approach based on the customer lifecycle during AEP.

PRM

In a business that’s literally all about the numbers, PRM needed a crisp, professional look for their branded materials. We developed a number of templates with sharp, clean lines and simple but clever icons and graphics.

Florida Blue

Florida Blue needed a series of broadcast spots to kick off their 2018 Open Enrollment campaign. It was a perfect opportunity to do some A/B testing by making both a live-action and an animated version using the same script, to see which would generate more response and in which geographic areas of the state.

GuideWell

GuideWell built an Innovation Center with a goal of reimagining solutions to some of the toughest challenges in modern healthcare. The Imagination video was meant to describe the purpose of the Innovation Center in an aspirational and intriguing way. Interestingly, the construction of the new center wasn't quite finished at the time the video was produced, so we relied heavily on stock video and highly customized animation to convey the message.

Nervana

We tried it, and found that NERVANA works unbelievably well. Our task was to show its extraordinary results without looking like snake-oil salesmen. We did it by focusing our advertising on how good NERVANA makes you feel. Like NERVANA, our video succeeded in stimulated pleasure centers and got great results for this cutting-edge product.

Cathedral Arts Project

This video was designed to show the work of the Cathedral Arts Project from the perspective of the kids who are served by it. This hugely successful effort is a multidisciplinary arts education program that uses visual and performing arts to promote local arts and education. For the spot, animation was combined with footage of the kids' short testimonials to show stats that illustrate the successes of the Cathedral Arts Project.

GuideWell Insurance Agency

GuideWell Insurance Agency needed a series of educational spots to show some of the common pitfalls of homeowners and car owners to new property & casualty insurance policyholders. We relied heavily on humor to illustrate otherwise unremarkable topics and to give them a little sticking power. We also used the same actors for the whole series to create continuity.

Culligan

The well-known water treatment company needed a spot for (broadcast? digital? I have no idea) that would bring some local flavor to the main message of water softener services. We worked with the Jacksonville Jaguars mascot to illustrate in a literal and laughable way the negative aspects of hard water.

Tax Slayer

There's nothing particularly thrilling about doing your taxes, so we incorporated subtle humor in the smartly written script for these short, broadcast-ready spots. They promote a contest where the prizes are as laughable as taxes are serious.

Pilot Pen

It’s especially rewarding to get in on the ground floor with a product you believe in. Pilot Pens are made from recycled water bottles, and they work beautifully. Our video shows off the pens’ environmentally friendly roots, colorful practicality and versatility.

GuideWell Emergency Doctors

A humorous approach was used to illustrate the advantages of using an urgent care center instead of going to the ER. This was part of a longer series that used the same characters and the same basic idea of the smarter person choosing urgent care.

Availity

Describing the ins and outs of medical billing, TPAs, and what Availity's Advanced Claims Engine does to improve the process called for a fast-paced animated approach that keeps the attention. Availity's ACE does a lot so we had a lot of VPs to cram into the VO and had to explain a lot of the technical terms for a broader audience.

UNITED WAY OF NORTHEAST FLORIDA

Florida Blue’s own, Pat Garaghty, chaired our local United Way campaign in 2014, and The Studio produced a fund-raising video to help out. It shows the successes of three local people who benefited from United Way programs: Full-Service Schools , Real Sense Prosperity Place and Success by 6. The video helped United Way raise more than $20,000,000. Good things happen when we live United!

GWC Studios

A future-forward animation style was used to help explain the nuances of what GuideWell's onboarding tool, Welcome Connect can do. Instead of being used for broadcast, the video was designed to be sharable on social media and to be used at events and tradeshows to spark interest in the product.

Venti

We created a look and feel for Venti and developed a go-to-market plan. An animated video that told the story was created and geared towards the first responder audience. Our production filmed an actual demonstration of the Venti products with the use of a drone and Virtual 3D composites were created to show the range of capabilities and possible scenarios for use.

MaliVai

A short documentary was created to show the impact of the Mal Washington Foundation on at-risk kids in the community. It focuses on one student who has been in the program since grade school and is now preparing for college and already giving back to the foundation that helped her so much. The video features drone footage, news coverage as well as intimate interviews with friends and family members to tell this story of personal success.

Florida Blue Under 65

Digital is the main information source for many Floridians, especially those under 65. And digital gives advertisers the ability to target consumers with an accuracy that’s almost creepy. GuideWell Connect creates and launches email, landing pages and DRTV for Florida Blue under 65 and gets the right information in the hands of the right people.

Sanitas

Designing to appeal to the unique perspective of Hispanic consumers requires the right combination of boldness and subtlety. Colloquialisms and dialect can vary by region, depending on the native countries of local residents. We’ve experimented with Spanglish ads for this audience, because sometimes their browsers are set for English, but they search in Spanish.

GuideWell Insurance Agency

As a new startup, GuideWell Insurance Agency needed a digital persona built from scratch. We’ve launched their website, a number of landing pages and are in the process of devising an app that will enable customers to get a real-time quote on health insurance, homeowner’s, hurricane or any other property and casualty possession they desire. We’ve also created numerous emails and a DRTV series that educates customers, enabling the agency to provide them with lower rates.

Florida Blue Medicare

The Medicare demographic is diverse. Boomers may be getting older, but they don’t see themselves as elderly. Many of them use the internet daily, and nearly all have cell phones. On the other hand, older Medicare plan customers don’t spend as much time online, although many of them access the web via tablet or laptop. We created digital materials that work well for customers on both sides of the technology divide.

The benefits of using GuideWell Emergency Doctors include convenience and time savings, making lightning fast digital messaging ideal for this client. We created clean, simple communications with direct messaging for prospects, so they can learn about services provided, find a nearby location and see a doctor ASAP.

Venti

Venti is developing innovative firefighting tools that save lives. Our job is to bring this information to the attention of the right people.

Florida Blue Retail

Florida Blue’s retail centers are touchpoints where members can get face-to-face time with Florida Blue representatives. Each center is different, but they all offer activities—classes and seminars, checkups and screenings, plan information, etc. So they needed a website that branched out to each location with services, schedules and hours of operation. And each center can keep their own content up to date.

Digital media was a key player in bringing BlueCross BlueShield back into the Over 65 market after being out of it for three years. We developed a carefully targeted email campaign that funneled prospects in to shop for health coverages online.
